### Old Flame

#### by myc10003

I was quite good at mathematics at an early age and was selected, from the entire Shanghai metro region (10+million residents), to be one of the 10 6-th grade students to attend a two-year math camp (on weekends). In high school, I independently discovered Turan’s graph theorem (its dual in fact) and found an elementary proof using only inductions. That event turned out to be quite discouraging because after struggling for more than half a year I merely rediscovered something that had been proven 46 years before. So in college I lost interest in math. Now I’m just trying to rekindle my old flame.

This site contains my solutions to the problems in Rudin’s “Principles of Mathematical Analysis” (a.k.a. Baby Rudin) and to those in James Munkres’ “Topology” (1st edition).
